Are You Unstoppable?

 
     We want to lose weight.  We want to be thinner and wear nicely fitting clothes.  We want to look our best and feel our best.  We want the best health possible. Question is:  Are we willing to work for it?  Our Genetics and Biochemistry will take over and give us what we have been programmed to become unless we fight them.  If we have Fat Genes, we will have excess fat. If we have Heart Attack Genes, we will have a heart attack or stroke.
 
     These genes can be beaten and in fact can be Crushed!  But that's up to us.  The genetic code that will make it easy for us to gain weight can be turned off and our disease of Obesity can be put in remission.  Is this easy? No. Is it worth it?  Absolutely! 
 
     To Crush these Genes we must have the right mindset.  We can't change our weight until we change our thinking.  Next we must have a treatment plan. You noticed that I didn't say "Diet".  Certainly a change in diet is a part of the treatment plan, but a diet alone is destined to fail.  The treatment plan must focus on 5 Core areas.  Nutrition (hence the dietary changes), physical activity, balancing any metabolic issues,  balancing any hormonal issues, and changing our psychology (changing our thinking).
 
     To treat these areas requires a health or medical plan.  The reason 95% or more of people gain back all their weight after even the best diet plan is because they only focused on one of the five core areas.  The reason people rarely lose weight with exercise is that it is only a single component of the core area.  The same holds true for taking a pill for weight loss, or using a hormone replacement.  The same holds true for just counseling.
 
     Each of these core components have significant benefit and will help when used by themselves, but will not solve or resolve the problem.  It takes all five and it requires their permanent incorporation into our lives.  Anything else...we are just fooling ourselves.
 
     So, let's not be fools.  Let's be Unstoppable.  This is an attitude that one can and will do anything and everything to accomplish a goal.  This is an all-in, full throttle, immersion into the solution.  Being unstoppable puts the roller coaster emotions away and relies on a steadfast mental firmness.  This mental attitude drives us forward always.  Gain a half pound, no problem.  Miss an exercise session, no problem.  Any variance or mistake is evaluated, changed, and right back down the path to victory we go.
 
     Most Olympic athletes are unstoppable.  Navy Seals are unstoppable.  Many professional athletes are unstoppable.  You and I can be unstoppable.  Now, no matter what happens, our desire and goal of achieving our optimal weight and health is a MUST.  Not a like too.  Not a hope for.  Not a wish.
